Meteora Photo Workshop, 10-11 May 2018
Duration: 2 days, 1 night
Join us to a unique photographic experience at the ancient rocks of Meteora. Meteora is a magical and mystical place with some gigantic rock formations and 6 Christian-Orthodox monasteries on top of them. The cliffs rise to a height of more than 400 metres and they are dated by chemical analysis to be 60 million years old. Meteora is included on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Day 1
Our trip starts at 09:00 in the morning when we pick you up from the centre of Thessaloniki, at White Tower. It is about 3 hours drive to Meteora so expect to be there at around 12:00. We check in to our hotel to leave our things.
We start by visiting the locations we are going to shoot for a quick view, since we are gonna come back later to photograph them. We go for lunch at around 14:00 and enjoy the local food and get to know each other better during lunch. After that we go for a short rest in our rooms and at 16:00 we leave the hotel with our camera gear and spent the hole afternoon shooting the magnificent rock formations from various points.
After the sunset we get back to our hotel for rest. We meet up later at around 21:30 for dinner and after that if the weather allow us we are going to shoot the night sky and the milky way above the Meteora. Expect some really incredible photos from this shoot!

Day 2
Our wake up is early for this morning. We leave the hotel at 6:30 for our morning sunrise shoot. After that we get back to our hotel for breakfast and for a post processing session when we will edit some of the images we took in Lightroom and Photoshop.
We check out of the hotel at 12:00 and go for a short visit to Varlaam Monastery. After that we start our drive back to Thessaloniki. Expect to be back at the White Tower around 17:00, where we say our goodbyes.
